Supply Desk is seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Business Studies Teacher to join a well-established secondary school in Watford. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate educator to inspire students and deliver engaging Business Studies lessons that develop commercial awareness, analytical thinking and entrepreneurial skills.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons across Key Stages 4 and 5, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment where students are challenged to achieve their full potential. You will work collaboratively with colleagues to contribute to the continued success of the department and wider school community.
Key Duties:
• Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated Business Studies lessons in line with the national curriculum and examination specifications.
• Teach Business Studies across Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5, preparing students for GCSE and A-Level examinations where applicable.
• Assess, monitor and track student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback.
• Create a positive and stimulating classroom environment that encourages participation and independent learning.
• Develop students'' understanding of key business concepts, entrepreneurship, finance, marketing and enterprise.
• Maintain high expectations of behaviour and promote a culture of respect and achievement.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practice and contribute to curriculum development.
• Communicate effectively with parents, carers and school staff to support student progress.
• Uphold safeguarding procedures and contribute to the wider life of the school.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching Business Studies at Key Stage 4, with Key Stage 5 experience desirable.
• Strong subject knowledge and a passion for Business education.
• Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
• The ability to motivate and inspire students of varying abilities.
• Strong communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.
• A commitment to raising attainment and delivering outstanding teaching and learning.
• A thorough understanding of safeguarding responsibilities.
