The Role Manage business rates for multiple commercial properties and companies. Deal directly with the VOA and Local Authorities. Review rateable values and challenge incorrect assessments. Manage VOA appeals, challenges and rating reviews. Investigate incorrect or disputed business rates bills. Deal with empty properties, reliefs, exemptions and liability changes. Monitor business rates accounts, credits, refunds and adjustments. Review property alterations, splits, mergers and changes to hereditaments. Identify opportunities to reduce unnecessary business rates costs. Maintain accurate records of all cases, appeals and correspondence. Provide advice to the property and accounts teams. Monitor deadlines and ensure matters are progressed promptly. About You Previous hands-on business rates experience is essential. Strong knowledge of commercial property business rates.
