Business ManagerLocation: FarnhamSalary: Circa £60,000Closing date: 04/05/2026The Business Manager is a new, hands-on general management role based full-time at the school, with flexibility expected around key dates in the school calendar. As a member of the SLT, the role is the principal interface for the Head, SLT and all staff on support service matters. The role is responsible for the daily management of many of the support services functions on site, and is expected to manage matters in-situ where possible.Strategic matters, large-scale projects, resourcing decisions and other significant matters beyond daily needs will be escalated to the Prep Schools'' Bursar, or to HR and IT colleagues who manage those group functions.The role will monitor adherence to support services budgets and ensure compliance with relevant rules, regulations and guidance applicable to the teams they are managing.Overall Purpose:To ensure the smooth and efficient day-to-day running of the schoolTo manage key staff delivering on-site operational support servicesTo be a conduit between the school''s Head, SLT and Prep Schools'' BursarTo ensure adherence to support services budgets, liaising with local stakeholders and the Prep Schools'' Bursar as requiredTo direct colleagues to appropriate support where it is provided centrally at CharterhousePerson SpecificationQualifications:Essential:Driving licenceDesirable:Educated to degree levelExperience:Essential:Background in: Facilities/Estates ..... full job details .....
