Job PurposeAs a Business Intelligence Developer at Kallidus, you will be responsible for designing, developing and managing business intelligence and analytics solutions for our products. You will build and maintain a data warehouse design to generate reports from our learning and performance management products.In this role, you should have a background in data and business analysis, along with analytical and communication skills. You should understand key data concepts such as data security and data integrity, and have experience with dimensional modelling, star schema design and ETL processes.Ultimately, you will enhance our business intelligence systems to help our customers make better decisions.

Your responsibilitiesDesign, build and deploy new and existing BI solutionsMaintain and support data analytics platformsWriting, optimizing and troubleshooting SQL queries for data manipulation and retrievalDeveloping stored procedures and functions to encapsulate business logic and improve performanceEnsuring data accuracy, consistency and security through appropriate validation, backup and recovery proceduresTuning SQL queries, creating indexes and implementing other performance optimization techniquesDebugging and resolving issues with T-SQL and related SQL Server componentsCreate tools to store data (e.g. OLAP cubes)Identifying and resolving database-related issuesCollaborate with developers, analysts and stakeholders to integrate databases and systemsSupport the creation of visualizations and reports for requested projectsDevelop and update technical documentationKeeping up to date with the latest database technologies and best practices

Your Skills, Experience and BehavioursThe following skills and experience are essential:Experience as a BI Developer, Data Engineer or SQL Developer in an Agile environmentBackground in data warehouse design (e.g. dimensional modeling) and data miningIn-depth understanding of database management systems, online analytical processing (OLAP) and ETL (Extract, transform, load) frameworkFamiliarity with BI technologies (e.g. Microsoft Power BI, SAP Business Objects)Advanced knowledge of T-SQL for data manipulation and query optimizationProficiency in designing, developing and deploying SSIS packagesHave a strong understanding of data security and multi-tenancyA problem-solving attitude with the ability to analyse and resolve complex data-related issuesClear and effective communication skills to interact with technical and non-technical audiencesAn academic qualification in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related fieldMust have an existing right of eligibility to work in the UK

Any of the following would be beneficial for this role:Knowledge of SQL Server with the ability to maintain and troubleshootKnowledge of NoSQL databasesKnowledge of Microsoft Azure data tools: Fabric, Data Factory, Data LakeExperience with PostgresSQLFamiliarity with cloud platforms and services (Azure, AWS)
