Business Development Manager
Our client is an established and growing provider of waste management and recycling solutions. Due to continued expansion, they are now seeking a driven and experienced Business Development Manager to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated sales professional to take ownership of a territory and play a key role in driving new business growth within a well-respected organisation.
As the Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for generating new business opportunities and selling a comprehensive range of waste management and recycling services to commercial clients.
You will work with businesses across a variety of sectors, offering tailored, value-led solutions rather than competing on price alone. This is a field-based role suited to someone who thrives on autonomy, relationship-building, and closing deals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and secure new business opportunities within your designated area
- Sell a full range of services, including:
- Commercial waste collections
- Recycling services
- Total waste management solutions
- Build and maintain strong client relationships
- Deliver consultative, bespoke solutions based on customer needs
- Negotiate contracts within defined margins
- Manage your pipeline effectively
The Candidate:
- You must have field sales experience from within the Waste Management Industry
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently
- A proactive mindset and willingness to take initiative
- The ability to negotiate and sell on value, not just price
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
