Business Development Manager

International Business Development Manager (Engineering) We are working with a manufacturing company in Durham who are looking for someone with an inquisitive mindset, excellent communication skills and who enjoys chasing down opportunities. This company operate within international engineering/manufacturing markets. They are looking for someone who enjoys international travel, occassionally short notice. You will be experienced taking a consultive sales approach, producing tenders for main contractors and government bodies internationally. Brief role outline You will Identify and develop new business opportunities across international markets within a defined sector. Communicating with government authorities, design consultants, contractors, OEMs, and clients worldwide. Attend and exhibit at international trade shows, client visits, and trade missions (annually) Provide technical sales support, guiding clients from initial inquiry to final product selection. Manage the sales process from inquiry to quotation, ensuring accurate pricing and margin calculations in multiple currencies. Follow up on inquiries, pull together tenders, and generate new leads. Background Previous relevant experience selling manufactured/engineered products Excellent negotiation and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and organisational skills.
