Business Development Manager

THE ROLE As Business Development Manager, you will hold full commercial accountability for driving new business revenue, winning multi-site tenders, and expanding high-value accounts across the signage, architectural branding, and venue fit-out sectors. Working closely with internal Estimating, Design, and Project Management teams, you will act as a trusted commercial advisor to Main Contractors, DandB Agencies, Architectural Practices, and Brand Directors. Key Responsibilities: Pipeline Generation: Identify, target, and win profitable high-value accounts, multi-site retail rollouts, and commercial signage contracts (£20k £250k+ project values). Consultative Selling: Engage directly with Architects, Quantity Surveyors, Main Contractors, and Corporate Brand Managers to specify bespoke technical signage, illuminated displays, and wayfinding systems. Relationship and Tender Management: Lead commercial pitches, manage RFP/tender submissions, and secure framework agreements with regional and national clients. Strategic Networking: Leverage industry contacts across the construction, commercial interior design, and retail implementation spaces to build a sustainable pipeline. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with internal technical CAD leads, manufacturing studio managers, and install teams to ensure seamless project handovers and healthy gross profit margins.
