Business Development Manager - South East - Fasteners

Location: Home-based, covering the South East
Preferred locations: Luton, Milton Keynes, Cambridge or Chelmsford
Salary: -50,000 basic + 15% target bonus
Benefits: Company car or car allowance

An established engineering and manufacturing business is seeking a Business Development Manager to grow its customer base across the South East.

This is a field-based role combining new business development with the management and growth of existing accounts.

• Identify and win new B2B customers
• Develop existing accounts and increase customer spend
• Conduct regular customer meetings and quarterly business reviews
• Identify and progress new commercial opportunities
• Build stronger links between customers, Internal Sales and Customer Service
• Independently manage territory planning and customer visits

• Fastener industry experience
• Comfortable balancing account management with new business development
• Strong commercial awareness, resilience and relationship-building skills
• Able to work autonomously in a home-based, field sales position
• Based around Luton, Milton Keynes, Cambridge, Chelmsford or the surrounding area

The successful candidate will typically spend three days per week visiting customers, with the remaining time dedicated to administration and territory planning.

Full training, coaching and support will be provided, making this an excellent opportunity for someone with the right commercial attitude and potential to develop.
