Role: Business Development Manager

Location: Brighton, East Sussex

Hours: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: -30,000 - -40,000 basic (-40,000 - -50,000 OTE)

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Business Development Manager to join one of our growing clients, an established consultancy based in Brighton.

This is a relationship-led business development role, focused on growing an established client base while identifying and developing new commercial opportunities.

The Requirements:

• Previous Business Development or B2B sales experience highly beneficial
• Commercially minded, confident and articulate
• Strong relationship-building skills
• Comfortable speaking with senior decision makers
• Proactive approach to identifying new opportunities
• Strong organisation and follow-up skills
• Able to understand specialist services and communicate their value
• Experience within professional services, property, construction, planning, engineering or consultancy would be advantageous

The Role:

• Develop relationships with new and existing clients
• Identify opportunities to increase services with current customers
• Generate new business across relevant markets
• Research target organisations and commercial opportunities
• Build relationships with key decision makers
• Follow up enquiries, proposals and previous clients
• Attend networking events and industry meetings
• Develop referral relationships and strategic partnerships
• Maintain and develop a strong sales pipeline
• Support proposals, pitches and longer-term business development strategy
