Business Development Manager Corporate and Financial Services London A leading professional services firm is seeking an experienced, commercially minded and proactive Business Development Manager for a 9-month maternity cover. The role will support business and client development across the Financial Services sector and Corporate MandA practices, working closely with Partners, senior stakeholders and the wider Brand, Clients and Markets team. Key responsibilities Deliver sector, practice and client BD plans, translating strategy into measurable activity and outcomes. Identify commercial opportunities through market data, client insight and competitor analysis. Support client targeting, key account development, cross-selling and relationship-building initiatives. Lead and support pitches, proposals and bids, including messaging, win themes, preparation and feedback. Plan and deliver targeted client events and marketing activity. Manage multiple projects, budgets, deadlines and stakeholders effectively. Contribute to directory and awards submissions and wider marketing communications. Build strong relationships across UK and international offices. Coach and support more junior team members and share BD best practice. Experience and skills The successful candidate will ideally have professional services BD experience, with exposure to sector, practice or client-focused strategies.
