DescriptionOur client, a well-established investor and financier in IT assets and services, is seeking to hire a Business Development Director to drive residual value-driven fair market value IT finance deals from both existing and new channel partners.
This position involves managing existing channel relationships and identifying, prospecting, and winning new ones.
The target for Year 1 is £6m of volume, with existing channel partners expected to deliver £3.5m, leaving £2.5m to be sourced from new partners.
The client offers a strong proposition for channel partners, including deep own book residual values, competitive pricing on quality IT hardware, and a sophisticated app for deal proposals, digital documentation, and payments.
The pay plan is straightforward, based solely on volume. For inherited channel partners, the commission is 1%. For new partners, the commission is 1.5% in the first 12 months, reverting to 1% afterward.
With a maximum salary of £75,000 and the outlined business targets, the Year 1 earnings could reach approximately £147,500, with uncapped earning potential depending on motivation and performance.
Candidate ProfileApplicants should ideally reside inside the M25 or within 20 miles of it. They must have a successful background in both new business and account development within channel-driven IT finance. Experience in helping channel partners close large deals and understanding how to sell residual value solutions are essential.
Note: Our client is not interested in candidates focused solely on selling finance leases, loans, or hire purchase solutions.
Success in this role could lead to earning over £200,000 by the end of Year 2 and over £250,000 by Year 3.
