About the Company

Our client is a well-established and highly respected manufacturing business experiencing continued growth. They are now looking to strengthen their commercial team with a driven Business Development & Sales Coordinator to help identify new opportunities, expand market presence, and develop long-term customer relationships.

This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong sales or business development background who also brings a technical understanding of manufacturing processes and engineering principles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively identify and develop new business opportunities across target markets
  • Generate, qualify, and convert sales leads into new commercial accounts
  • Manage inbound and outbound sales enquiries, ensuring opportunities are maximised
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers to drive repeat and long-term business
  • Prepare quotations and proposals, including interpreting technical requirements and specifications
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications to support accurate quoting and customer discussions
  • Conduct market research to identify new sectors, customers, and growth opportunities
  • Support and attend client meetings to assist with business development activity where required
  • Work closely with internal engineering, production, and operations teams to ensure customer requirements are met
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and provide regular updates on pipeline activity and performance
  • Support the wider commercial team in achieving and exceeding sales and growth targets

Ideal Candidate:

  • Previous experience in internal sales, external sales, or business development
  • Strong technical background within a manufacturing or engineering environment
  • Ability to confidently read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Experience within injection moulding, plastics, or similar manufacturing sectors (highly desirable)
  • Proven ability to generate leads, develop relationships, and close opportunities
  • Strong commercial awareness with a proactive, results-driven approach
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail
  • Confident using CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and sales tools
  • Able to work independently while contributing effectively within a team
