Description

Business Data Analyst

• Partner with Front Office and business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into analytical and reporting solutions.
• Gather, challenge, and document business requirements across multiple teams.
• Analyse large and complex datasets to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and data quality issues.
• Create dashboards, reporting packs, and management information using Power BI, Tableau, Excel, and SQL.
• Support system, reporting, and process enhancement initiatives.
• Identify opportunities for automation, AI adoption, and operational efficiency improvements.
• Work closely with Technology, Data, and Change teams to deliver business improvements.
• Present insights, recommendations, and project updates to senior stakeholders.

Profile

Business Data Analyst

A successful Business Data Analyst should have:

• Proven experience as a Business Data Analyst, Data Analyst, BI Analyst, or similar role within financial services.
• Strong stakeholder management and requirements gathering skills.
• Experience working directly with Front Office teams is highly desirable.
• Candidates from other financial services environments, including Risk, Finance, Operations, Change, Business Management, or Regulatory functions, will also be considered.
• Strong SQL skills and experience working with large datasets.
• Hands-on experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar reporting tools.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to influence, challenge, and engage stakeholders at all levels.
• Experience documenting business requirements, processes, and operating procedures.
• Exposure to process improvement, transformation, AI, or automation initiatives would be advantageous.

Job Offer

Business Data Analyst

• Competitive salary of -55,000 to -65,000, + Bonus - dependent on the level of experience.
