Business Controller

The OpportunityAn established international manufacturing business is looking to appoint a Business Controller into its UK finance team on a maternity cover basis. This is a broad, hands-on role with strong visibility across operations, offering the opportunity to influence performance, support decision-making and work closely with key stakeholders in a fast-paced, multi-entity environment.Your Duties/ResponsibilitiesLead month-end close, ensuring accurate and timely reportingPrepare management accounts, variance analysis and commentarySupport budgeting and forecasting cyclesAnalyse performance across cost base, margins and KPIsBusiness partner with operational teams to drive insight and improvementsMaintain balance sheet integrity and oversee reconciliationsSupport cost control and working capital initiativesContribute to ongoing process and reporting improvementsYou Will Be/Have:Fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)Strong management accounting and reporting experienceExperience in budgeting, forecasting and KPI analysisConfident working in a fast-paced, operational environmentStrong stakeholder engagement and communication skillsHands-on and detail-oriented, with a proactive mindsetExperience in manufacturing, FMCG or similar environments is advantageousBenefits:Salary: £55,000 - £65,000Fixed-term contract (c.12-18 months)Pension scheme with employer contributionPrivate medical and wellbeing support25 days holiday + bank holidaysHybrid working (4 days on site, 1 ..... full job details .....
