About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst / SI AVP-level Business Analyst to support the BPI - Issuing ARIC Migration Programme, a strategically important and business-critical transformation initiative.

The programme involves the migration of core Issuing capabilities from the existing TRIAD platform to ARIC, while supporting the creation of the co-dependent Issuing/Acquiring ARIC platform.

This is a high-profile programme with significant impact across business processes, controls, decision-making, governance, customer outcomes and regulatory obligations. The role will be particularly important in ensuring that business requirements are clearly understood, appropriately documented, challenged where required, and translated into deliverable outcomes.

The programme is also subject to time-critical third-party dependencies, with TRIAD reaching end of support in Q3 2027. Successful delivery is therefore critical to mitigating operational, financial and stranded-cost risks to the Issuing business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead business analysis activities across the BPI - Issuing ARIC Migration Programme.
  • Work closely with senior business stakeholders, technology teams, programme leadership and third-party partners to understand and define business needs.
  • Elicit, analyse, validate and document complex business and functional requirements.
  • Assess the impact of migration and transformation activity on existing business processes, operating models, controls and customer journeys.
  • Map current-state and future-state processes, identifying gaps, dependencies, risks and opportunities for improvement.
  • Translate complex business requirements into clear and actionable deliverables for technology and delivery teams.
  • Facilitate workshops with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams to drive alignment and decision-making.
  • Identify and manage business analysis dependencies, assumptions, risks and issues.
  • Support the definition and assessment of business acceptance criteria and successful outcomes.
  • Ensure requirements remain aligned with programme objectives, regulatory obligations, governance requirements and business priorities.
  • Work with stakeholders to understand and manage the implications of migration from TRIAD to ARIC.
  • Support programme governance through high-quality analysis, documentation, reporting and decision support.
  • Challenge requirements and proposed solutions where appropriate, ensuring that business outcomes and customer impacts are fully considered.
  • Support change impact assessments across people, process, technology, controls and governance.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners, Project Managers, Architects, SMEs, Developers, Test teams and other Business Analysts to ensure end-to-end traceability from requirements through to delivery.
  • Provide clear, concise and senior-level communication to programme governance forums and stakeholders.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to simplify processes, reduce risk and improve business outcomes.

Essential Experience & Skills

  • Proven experience operating as a Senior Business Analyst / Lead Business Analyst, ideally at AVP or equivalent level within a complex financial services environment.
  • Strong experience delivering business analysis within large-scale transformation, migration or technology change programmes.
  • Experience working within banking, payments, cards, issuing/acquiring or financial services environments.
  • Demonstrable experience analysing complex business processes, systems, controls and operating models.
  • Strong requirements elicitation, analysis and documentation skills.
  • Proven ability to lead stakeholder workshops and drive decisions across multiple business and technology teams.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to engage and influence senior stakeholders.
  • Experience working within highly governed and regulated environments.
  • Strong understanding of business process modelling, gap analysis and impact assessment.
  • Experience working across business and technology teams to translate business requirements into deliverable solutions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capability, with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams, priorities and dependencies within a time-critical programme.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Desirable Experience

  • Previous experience with ARIC, TRIAD or similar card/payment processing platforms.
  • Experience of issuing and/or acquiring transformation programmes.
  • Experience of platform migration, legacy technology replacement or end-of-life technology programmes.
  • Knowledge of card payments, issuing, acquiring, fraud/risk decisioning or related financial services capabilities.
  • Experience working with third-party technology providers and system integrators.
  • Experience operating within complex programme governance structures.
  • Knowledge of regulatory, operational risk and control requirements within financial services.
