Business Analyst - Microsoft Purview

Business Analyst - Microsoft Purview - is required by a large IT software company to capture requirements, map processes, document data definitions and support practical data governance improvements across a large-scale data services transformation programme. You will be responsible for: Delivering business analysis outcomes across data governance and compliance projects. Gathering requirements through workshops and interviews, then documenting them as business requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, process maps, data dictionaries and RAID logs, and shaping them into a clear backlog. Applying data governance principles to shape data ownership and data stewardship in line with regulatory requirements. Configuring and utilising Microsoft Purview capabilities such as Data Map, Unified Catalog, business glossary, classifications, lineage and Collections. Investigating data quality issues. Collaborating with data engineering, architecture, security and compliance teams to embed governance requirements into solution designs. Communicating progress, risks and decisions clearly to project teams and senior stakeholders. Utilising AI tools to speed up analysis, documentation and communication. Required experience and skills: Hands-on experience with Microsoft Purview or similar data governance tooling.
