Business Analyst

• Location: Hybrid, up to 2 days per month in Leeds
• Rate: -450 per day (Inside IR35)
• Duration: 6 months

Overview

We''re looking for a Business Analyst to join a public sector digital programme focused on improving customer experience. You''ll work closely with service teams, stakeholders and delivery colleagues to understand how services work today, find what needs to change, and shape better digital journeys for the people who use them.

Key Responsibilities

• Run workshops and interviews with stakeholders and service users to gather and analyse requirements
• Map current and future state processes and customer journeys
• Write clear user stories and acceptance criteria and manage the backlog with the Product Owner
• Spot pain points in the customer experience and recommend practical improvements
• Work alongside user researchers, designers and developers in an agile delivery team
• Support testing and make sure delivered changes meet business and user needs
• Keep stakeholders informed and manage expectations across the programme

Key Requirements

• Proven experience as a Business Analyst in local or central government
• Track record on digital transformation programmes
• Strong background in customer experience or customer-facing service improvement
• Confident with process mapping, requirements gathering and user story writing
• Experience working in agile teams
• Excellent communication skills with stakeholders at all levels

Desirable

• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 or other CRM platforms
• Knowledge of GDS Service Standard
• BCS Business Analysis qualification or similar
