Your new companyYou will be joining an existing driver pool at a large organisation in the Edinburgh area. Due to a new run being signed off, they are looking to add a Category D bus driver for a contract starting in April 2026. Your new roleYou will be required to undertake the duties below:Drive a 16-seater bus on a shuttle run to provide public transport for work, appointments, and community activities.Provide physical assistance to those with mobility challenges, including operating lifts or ramps.Adhere to planned routes and maintain punctuality for pickups and drop-offsDrive safely and within the speed limits at all times. Engage with customers/the public in a polite and courteous mannerWhat you''ll need to succeedYou will need to be a qualified category D bus driver with zero/minimal points and endorsements on your licence and ideally with experience working in a similar environment. We will need you to be at the depot for an early start each day, with plenty of on-site parking for your own transport.There will be regular Saturday shifts on top of the Monday-Friday day shift working pattern.What you''ll get in returnYou will be offered an initial 6-week contract with one of the largest employers in Edinburgh. Hays will pay you weekly PAYE with the option of accrued annual leave.
