Job Purpose

Reporting to the Head of Investor Relations, you will represent Burberry within the investment community. As part of a small but high-profile team, you will play an active role in implementing an effective investor relations programme covering the company''s capital markets communication.

Responsibilities

Manage sell-side relationships, consensus collation and publication, and monitor sell-side opinion on Burberry and the sectorDrafting and compiling results announcements, investor presentations and supporting materials, including ownership of QandA documentDevelop and maintain the reporting pack using IR Insight by Nasdaq, as well as company financial modelMonitor peer group activity and regularly share insights and analysis internallyFoster strong relationships internally, partnering with cross-functional teams to develop communication materials for internal and external audiencesDevelop and maintain detailed understanding of financial performance and operations of the businessContribute to and/or lead investor meetings, both ad-hoc and at industry conferences, as well as sell-side sales desk briefingsBuild relationships with buy-side and sell-side analysts and respond to their queriesSupport shareholder targeting processContribute to regular updates to the Board, Leadership Team and colleagues on IR activity and investor sentiment

Knowledge, Skills And Experience Required

Significant experience within a corporate IR team or as a sell-side analyst looking to transition into IR, with a clear understanding of the nuances of an in-house IR roleExcellent interpersonal skills, able to build relationships across all levels - collegiate, collaborative and low egoDeep understanding of financial statements and a good commercial acumenStrong analytical skills, with the ability to interrogate data and translate numbers into clear messages and convey complex financial information effectivelyConfident dealing with topics relevant to capital market participantsStrong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce drafts aligned to the company''s tone of voiceAble to deliver high quality work under pressure, with strong prioritisation and proactive problem-solvingSelf-motivated with a "get on with it" mindset and a commitment to continuous learning from peers and external IR developmentsWillingness to support all areas of the IR programme within a small, agile teamStrong command of Excel and experience building and maintaining internal modelsProficient in PowerPoint with the ability to turn around high-quality documentsComfortable operating in a fast-paced, dynamic team environmentWilling and able to travel internationally - approximately 2-4 trips per year
