The successful candidate will play a key role within the laboratory, analysing asbestos bulk samples while maintaining the highest standards of quality, accuracy, and UKAS compliance.THE ROLEAs an Asbestos Bulk Analyst, you will be responsible for the identification and analysis of asbestos-containing materials using polarised light microscopy (PLM) in accordance with HSG248 and UKAS procedures.Working within a busy laboratory environment, the Asbestos Bulk Analyst will ensure samples are processed efficiently, accurately, and within agreed turnaround times while maintaining detailed records and supporting quality assurance procedures.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESAnalysing asbestos bulk samples using polarised light microscopy (PLM)Identifying asbestos fibre types in accordance with HSG248 guidanceRecording and reporting analytical findings accuratelyMaintaining laboratory equipment and ensuring calibration requirements are metSupporting UKAS quality management procedures and internal auditsProcessing samples within agreed turnaround ..... full job details .....
