Building Surveyor

I am currently-working on behalf of a respected Greater London Local Authority to recruit an experienced Building Maintenance Surveyor to join their Housing Repairs & Investment team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated surveying professional with a strong background in responsive repairs, contractor management and housing maintenance to play a key role in maintaining and improving the council''s housing stock. Working within a busy, customer-focused environment, you will be responsible for ensuring repair and maintenance works are delivered to the highest quality standards while driving excellent resident satisfaction and service performance.

You will oversee the quality of responsive repairs and maintenance works, ensuring all projects are completed in line with specifications, contractual requirements, health and safety legislation and council standards.

You will also play an important role in ensuring new build handovers are completed free from defects, overseeing specialist installation works including fibre optic broadband and mobile phone mast installations, and supporting the delivery of strategic asset management objectives across the housing portfolio.

This is a varied position requiring excellent technical knowledge, strong contractor management skills and the ability to build positive relationships with residents, colleagues and external stakeholders.
