Interim Building SurveyorOxfordshirePart-Time (2-3 days per week) 350- 400 per day6 monthsWe are seeking an experienced Interim Building Surveyor to support the management and maintenance of a diverse commercial property portfolio for a local authority in Oxfordshire. This includes offices, industrial units, car parks, and retail premises.This is a hands-on surveying role involving condition assessments, overseeing repairs and minor refurbishments, ensuring compliance with building regulations, and supporting the safe operation and upkeep of the council''s non-residential assets.The role is part-time, requiring a commitment of 2 to 3 days per week, offering flexibility and competitive day rates. Key Responsibilities:Conduct regular condition surveys and inspections across a range of commercial properties.Identify and manage repair, maintenance, and improvement works.Commission and supervise contractors for repair and renovation works.Ensure all properties meet health and safety requirements and building regulations.Prepare and review technical specifications and tender documentation where required.Collaborate with internal teams (Estates, FM, Health and Safety) and external stakeholders.Maintain accurate records, reports, and schedules of condition.Advise on lifecycle planning and asset management strategies.Provide technical input into property strategy, compliance, and project planning.
