Building Surveyor

Building Surveyor Location: North West Rate: £36 Per hour Contract: 3 - Months Ongoing Spencer Clarke Group are supporting a local authority to appoint a Building Surveyor within their Building Surveying Team. This role will support the delivery of a varied portfolio of building related projects across the authority, taking responsibility for design, specification and project delivery to agreed timescales, budgets and standards. Responsibilities include Producing designs, specifications and scopes of work for building refurbishments and minor works. Including extensions, roofing, windows, fencing, flooring and decoration Leading the delivery of medium-sized building projects, ensuring quality and programme are maintained Supporting condition-led capital schemes and wider planned programmes as required Managing risks, issues, project reporting and budget forecasting to keep stakeholders informed Working closely with multi-disciplinary design and construction colleagues and internal services across the council Providing technical advice and recommendations to internal and external stakeholders Attending and supporting meetings with clients and senior surveying colleagues About you Degree qualified (or equivalent) in a relevant subject, with relevant experience Strong building design and delivery experience, including AutoCAD Confident managing building projects and working to deadlines and budgets Good working knowledge of building specifications and relevant regulations ..... full job details .....
