This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established Chartered Surveying practice that has built an outstanding reputation delivering projects across the public sector. Due to continued growth, they''re looking to add a Building Surveyor to their expanding team, offering the chance to work on a diverse portfolio of projects while receiving industry-leading support towards Chartership.

This established consultancy delivers a wide range of building surveying services across London and the Southeast, predominantly working with housing associations, local authorities, educational institutions, and public sector organisations. Projects range from refurbishment and new build schemes through to stock condition surveys, planned maintenance programmes, and contract administration. With continued expansion into new sectors and offices, they are committed to developing the next generation of Chartered Building Surveyors.

You''ll be involved in both office and site-based work, supporting the delivery of a varied project workload including contract administration, project management, defect diagnosis, building inspections, planning applications, and technical reporting. Working alongside experienced surveyors, you''ll gain exposure across the full project lifecycle while receiving ongoing mentoring and professional development.

Therefore, the ideal candidate will have previous Building Surveying experience, with exposure to contract administration and project management. Experience within residential, social housing, education, or wider public sector projects would be highly advantageous.

The Role:

• Prepare and submit planning and Building Regulations applications
• Produce specifications, tender documentation and tender analysis reports
• Assist with contract administration under JCT and other contract forms
• Based out of their office in Orpington, with travel across London and the Southeast
• Great opportunity for progression and continuous development

The Person:

• Building Surveyor
• Experience with project management and contract administration
• Residential, social housing, education or public sector project experience
• Looking to pursue chartership
• Based in commutable distance in Orpington, with own vehicle
