Building Surveyor - Local Authority

JOB TITLE: Building SurveyorLOCATION: East Leicestershire and Rutland areaRATE: 300 Umbrella per dayA local authority commercial property services have an immediate temporary need for an experienced Building Surveyor.Working within Property Services, this role is entirely focused on planned capital works and refurbishment projects across the varied council property portfolio. Reporting in to Senior Management, you will attend update and progress meetings.Job Duties:As a Building Surveyor, you will be involved in inspecting defects and planning remedial works arising from these. Preparing scopes of works and budget costing of planned works and presenting these for consideration and approval. Organising and checking statutory compliance inspections across the authorities'' buildings and then costing works along with arranging remedial works arising. The majority of the projects ar 50k or under but there are many, so being able to work on numerous projects at once is essential. This is working on non-housing.Prepare specificationsSupervise works on site, manage and administer variations and budgets.Develop relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders. Undertake inspections, monitor and manage performance.Problem-solve solutions to a wide variety of projects across a diverse building portfolio.
