Building Surveyor

Salary: £68,675 per annum Location: South London / Surrey The Role: We are seeking an experienced Building Surveyor to play a key role in delivering planned investment, major works, cyclical maintenance and building safety programmes across a residential property portfolio. Working as part of a proactive Asset Management team, you will lead the delivery of capital projects from inception through to completion, ensuring schemes are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest standards of quality, safety and compliance. This is a varied role that combines project management, contract administration, building safety responsibilities, technical surveying and stakeholder engagement, offering the opportunity to make a real impact across a diverse property portfolio. Key Responsibilities: Lead major investment projects including capital replacements, cyclical refurbishment schemes and mechanical and electrical installations. Manage contractors, consultants and suppliers, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and provide value for money. Prepare specifications, tender documentation, project designs and technical reports. Manage budgets, cost control, tender evaluations and financial reporting. Undertake building inspections, stock condition surveys, defect diagnosis and quality assurance inspections. Perform Building Safety Manager responsibilities across designated schemes.
