Building Surveyor

A respected property and construction consultancy is looking to appoint a Building Surveyor to join its growing Exeter team.

The Role

As a Building Surveyor, you will work across a broad range of sectors including education, commercial, retail, and care. The role will involve both professional surveying instructions and the delivery of refurbishment and improvement projects.

Key responsibilities include:

• Delivering a full range of core building surveying services across varied projects
• Assisting with and managing refurbishment, repair, and upgrade schemes
• Preparing technical reports, specifications, and schedules of work
• Supporting contract administration and project management duties
• Building strong relationships with clients, consultants, and internal teams
• Producing and reviewing technical drawings using CAD software
• Contributing to schemes that provide positive and meaningful outcomes

The Ideal Candidate

We are seeking an ambitious and capable Building Surveyor who can demonstrate:

• A degree in Building Surveying or a related discipline
• Previous experience within a building surveying environment
• Strong technical knowledge of building fabric, maintenance, and refurbishment works
• CAD proficiency (essential)
• Revit experience (advantageous but not essential)
• Strong communication skills with confidence in client-facing situations
• A proactive approach and commitment to professional growth
