Building Surveyor

Building Surveyor (Contract) Fraser Edwards is currently recruiting for an experienced Building Surveyor to join a busy housing maintenance team covering the South East London Area This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced surveying professional with a strong background in social housing maintenance to support the delivery of responsive repairs, planned maintenance and quality assurance across a diverse residential property portfolio. You will play a key role in ensuring repair works are completed to a high standard, identifying building defects, monitoring contractor performance and delivering excellent customer service. Key Responsibilities Carry out detailed property inspections across occupied and void residential properties relating to responsive repairs, planned maintenance and refurbishment works. Complete pre- and post-inspections to ensure works have been carried out in line with specifications, quality standards and contractual requirements. Diagnose a wide range of building defects including damp and mould, water ingress, structural movement, subsidence and general building failures, recommending appropriate remedial works. Produce comprehensive survey reports, technical specifications, schedules of work and recommendations for internal teams and contractors.
