A highly regarded property and construction consultancy is seeking a Building Surveyor to join its Exeter office.

The Role

As a Building Surveyor, you’ll be involved in a wide range of projects across sectors including education, commercial, retail, and care. You’ll support both professional surveying services and the delivery of refurbishment and improvement schemes.

Key responsibilities include:

• Delivering core building surveying services across a variety of projects
• Supporting and managing refurbishment and upgrade works
• Preparing technical reports, specifications, and schedules of work
• Assisting with contract administration and project management responsibilities
• Liaising closely with clients, consultants, and internal teams
• Producing and reviewing technical drawings using CAD
• Contributing to projects that deliver meaningful, positive outcomes

The Ideal Candidate

We’re looking for a motivated and capable Building Surveyor who can demonstrate:

• A degree in Building Surveying or a closely related discipline
• Previous experience within a building surveying role
• Strong technical understanding of building fabric and refurbishment projects
• Proficiency in CAD (essential)
• Revit experience (desirable, not essential)
• Good communication skills and confidence in client-facing situations
• A proactive mindset and commitment to ongoing professional development

Chartership is not essential, but full support will be provided for those looking to achieve it.
