£35,000–£45,000 + benefits

A well-established, forward-thinking consultancy in Essex is seeking a Building Surveyor to join its growing team. This role offers a diverse workload, strong professional support and the chance to work on projects that genuinely improve local communities.

You’ll take on a varied portfolio across public-sector and education environments, including:

• Housing disrepair inspections and detailed reporting

• Preparing specifications for refurbishment and maintenance schemes

• Contract administration from inception to completion

• Supporting Housing, Local Authority and Education clients

• Using AutoCAD to assist with drawings and technical documentation (ideal but not essential)

• Solid Building Surveying experience, ideally with exposure to residential or public-sector work

• Strong technical writing skills and confidence producing specifications

• Experience managing projects and communicating effectively with clients and contractors

• A proactive, organised approach and a genuine interest in delivering high-quality outcomes

• Competitive salary between £35,000 and £45,000
