Building Services Manager, Construction

Overview

Our Client is a very well established Specialist Main Contractor. This client’s business concerns the fitout and refurbishment of large buildings, principally located in the Home counties, along the M4 and M3 corridor and locations suiting the Technology and life sciences hubs around Oxford. This is a large company and they are looking for several people in this broad region. The client is involved with a variety of building types, and workload includes commercial offices, Cat A and Cat B fit out, Pharmaceutical and Critical infrastructure. They are looking for an MandE Building Services Manager (either Mechanical or Electrically biased), which may also be referred to as a Technical Services Manager (TSM) or Building Services Manager (BSM) for Fitout Contractors. You will be controlling the MandE Installation on projects from inception to completion.Responsibilities

Manage and drive MandE installation on projects from inception to completion in a fast-paced fit-out/refurbishment environment.Coordinate mechanical and electrical installation activities with other Construction disciplines and subcontractors.Engage with clients and stakeholders, maintain contract obligations, and ensure project objectives are met.Communicate effectively with site teams, subcontractors, and specialists to build strong working relationships and achieve best performance.Qualifications and skills

Mechanically or Electrically biased, with a good understanding of both disciplines.Previous fast-track MandE management installation experience within a fit-out or refurbishment environment for a fit-out contractor is ideal.Alternatively, project managers with a stable background on MandE sub-contractors who are looking to move to a main contractor will be considered.Strong communication skills, client-focused approach, and ability to drive MandE installation in an intelligent, non-confrontational manner.Benefits and opportunities
