Building Services Manager

Good Afternoon, I am currently representing Westminster Council who are offering an initial temporary contract for a period of 3-6 months with a view to be extended or offered a permanent position for the right candidate at a rate which is negotiable dependent upon experience We are looking for a Building Services Manager this role will be based at: City Hall 64 Victoria Street, SW1E6QP, Hybrid Working The right candidate will: Prepare and submit Building Assessment Certificate (BAC) applications for Higher Risk Buildings. Develop and maintain Safety Case Reports, Resident Engagement Strategies and Mandatory Occurrence Reporting systems. Produce and maintain building safety risk assessments relating to fire and structural failure. Identify hazards, assess risks and implement effective control measures. Escalate deficiencies and non-compliance issues where controls are inadequate. Create, review and maintain emergency plans for Higher Risk Buildings. Liaise with the Building Safety Regulator through the designated contact. Work collaboratively with internal teams, consultants and contractors to ensure compliance with the Building Safety Act 2022 and associated regulations. Partner closely with Fire Safety and Development teams to maintain the Golden Thread of Building Information. Undertake building inspections and report on defects, risks and required improvement works.
