Building Services ManagerIsle of WightContract1st Step Solutions are supporting a well established Tier 1 MandE Contractor who have an opportunity for a Building Services Manager to be based on an education project on Isle of Wight.To be successful in this role, you will have a proven track record in building services management, particularly within the commercial sector or similar related projects with values up to 20 million.Duties:- Reviewing installation plans and specifications to ensure that they deliver what the building/client needs.- Advising the design team on the co-ordination of services within the overall building design, for example, advice on how much space is needed above the ceilings to accommodate ventilation systems and other services.- Reviewing prices for services work.- Testing and checking installations.- Making sure jobs meet building regulations and health and safety requirements.- Attending meetings and presenting ideas and progress reports to managers and clients.- Advising clients on how the building services will operate once the building is complete.- Helping to protect the environment by keeping energy wastage to a minimum within the building services.Skills and Experience Required:- An industry relevant City and Guilds/NVQ Level 3 or above.- SMSTS.- CSCS Skill Card - Black Card desirable- Ability to influence and drive positive attitudes and behaviours with regards to site health and safety.- Experience dealing with mechanical ..... full job details .....
