Building Services Engineer - Plumbing and Heating

Your new companyA leading organisation with a large and diverse estate is looking for an experienced Building Services Engineer to join their Estates/Facilities Engineering team. You will play a key role in ensuring the effective operation, performance and compliance of their heating and chilled water systems across multiple buildings.Your new roleAs a Building Services Engineer specialising in heating and chilled water systems, you will be responsible for the planned maintenance, statutory compliance and ongoing operation of wet heating and cooling systems throughout the estate.Your responsibilities will include: Managing planned maintenance programmes for heating and chilled water systems, including pumps, strainers, valves, pipework and water treatment.Overseeing contractors to ensure work is delivered to agreed standards, timescales and budgets.Maintaining and updating asset registers and verifying compliance documentation.Using the BMS as a key diagnostic tool for system monitoring, performance optimisation and problem-solving.Acting as the escalation lead for mechanical issues linked to heating and chilled water systems.Delivering reactive maintenance, minor works and long-term improvement projects.Liaising with stakeholders, consultants and approving bodies to define work requirements and resolve technical issues.
