The role spans electrical, mechanical and specialist systems including, but not limited to: Building Management Systems (BMS), uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), fire detection and suppression, emergency lighting, closed-circuit television (CCTV), access control, water hygiene and legionella control, and critical HVAC/mechanical plant. The BSE will act as an Authorised Person (AP) under JSP375 and within Systems of Work , exercising permit-to-work control, isolations and handover, and ensuring that all work is completed safely and to specification. The role will use the CAFM system to plan, record, and optimise maintenance activities, and will support infrastructure works delivered via approved subcontractors.
