Building Service Manager

Job Title: Building Services Manager Area: Thetford Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday (Days) Permanent Salary: Excellent As a Building Services Manager you will join a team involved with projects at all stages. A true multidisciplinary contractor design team working on a variety of building and civil engineering projects, retail, commercial, industrial, offices, medical and research facilities, to award-winning residential developments. You will provide design and commissioning coordination support, design and peer reviews, building physics and embodied carbon advice on various building and engineering projects, whilst supporting the contractor with site checking, verification and validation. Responsibilities Assess tender drawings and specifications for compliance to Building Regulations, Statutory, Health, Environment and Safety Legislation and Requirements. Evaluate pre-contract quotes and technical submissions, reporting on shortfalls, omissions, risk and opportunities. Provide practical support to construction teams. Supervise, survey, co-ordinate and inspect subcontractor activities during construction phase. Appraise pre-tender building performance (e.g. BREEAM) assessments and advising construction team and responsibilities. Appraise subcontractor design information against design codes, standards, employer s requirements and buildability requirements. Assess record drawing and OandM information and manage changes.
