Building Service Engineer

Are you an experienced Building Services Engineer with a strong M&E background? Do you enjoy working in a varied, hands-on role where you can make a real impact on site performance and reliability?

We’re looking for a proactive and technically skilled individual to join a growing facilities team, supporting the maintenance and optimisation of critical building services across a modern site in Bicester.

As a Building Services Engineer, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of mechanical and electrical systems. You’ll be involved in both planned and reactive maintenance, working across a wide range of building services and infrastructure.

Maintenance & Operations

• Deliver planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across M&E systems
• Maintain and repair mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and plumbing systems
• Diagnose faults, carry out root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions
• Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with permit-to-work systems
• Identify recurring faults and improvement opportunities
• Support small projects, upgrades, and system improvements

• Monitoring systems (BMS) – training provided
• Logging/reporting issues (CAFM/CMMS helpful)
• Experience maintaining buildings (not machinery)
• Comfortable with general repairs and reactive maintenance
• Able to deal with real-world issues (leaks, faults, minor fixes)
• Basic understanding of building services systems (e.g. HVAC, plant rooms, heating systems, electrics)
