Job Title: Building Safety ManagerLocation: Hybrid - 2 days in office / 3 days from homeRate: £43 per hour (Umbrella)Contract: 3 months ongoing We are currently recruiting for an experienced Building Safety Manager to join a Local Authority within Housing Services on an interim basis. This is a key role within the Building Safety and Compliance team, responsible for ensuring the safety and compliance of higher-risk residential buildings (HRBs), while supporting the delivery of statutory obligations and best practice across the housing portfolio.Key Responsibilities:Lead on building safety management across designated high-risk residential buildingsEnsure compliance with the Building Safety Act 2022, Fire Safety Act 2021, and relevant regulationsDevelop, manage, and review Building Safety Cases and Case ReportsConduct inspections, audits, and risk assessments relating to fire and structural safetyWork collaboratively with Housing, Repairs, and Asset teams to address safety actionsAct as a key liaison with the Building Safety Regulator and London Fire BrigadePromote and lead on resident engagement around safety and complianceOversee delivery of both minor and major building safety worksProvide expert advice and guidance to internal teams and senior stakeholdersAbout You:Proven experience (3+ years) in building safety, fire safety, or housing complianceStrong knowledge of relevant legislation and safety case principlesExperience managing Building Safety Case Reports and ..... full job details .....
