Building Physics Consultant Location: NottinghamEmployment Type: Full-timeSalary: Dependent on experienceAbout the Role We are looking for a talented and motivated Building Physics Consultant to join our growing team in Nottingham.The role will involve providing building physics and energy modelling expertise across a range of building projects, helping clients and design teams develop energy-efficient, comfortable and sustainable buildings.A key part of the role will be the use of IES VE (Integrated Environmental Solutions) to undertake energy modelling, thermal analysis and performance assessments. You will work closely with architects, engineers and other consultants to influence building design and deliver practical, evidence-based solutions.Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain detailed building energy models using IES VE. Carry out dynamic thermal modelling and building energy simulations. Undertake energy and carbon assessments for new-build and refurbishment projects. Assess building fabric, glazing, shading, ventilation and building services performance. Provide advice on passive design strategies and opportunities to reduce energy consumption and carbon emissions. Undertake overheating assessments and thermal comfort analysis. Support compliance assessments and energy performance calculations where required. Analyse modelling results and communicate findings clearly to clients and project teams.
