Building Materials Logistics Manager

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Logistics Manager to join a well-established and growing supplier of building materials based in Cambridge. Reporting directly to the General Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the efficient distribution of building materials to customers across the region. You will be responsible for coordinating daily transport operations, managing deliveries and fleet utilisation, and ensuring exceptional levels of customer service at all times. Maximise fleet utilisation and operational efficiency while maintaining excellent service levels. Manage and communicate with drivers, ensuring delivery instructions and schedules are clearly understood. Monitor deliveries in real time, proactively resolving any logistical issues that arise. Liaise with customers regarding delivery schedules, updates and any unforeseen delays. Work closely with suppliers, customers and internal teams to ensure orders are fulfilled accurately and on time.
