Building Control SurveyorLocation: Leicester Contract: up to 12 months Working Pattern: Predominantly site-basedPay : DOE but Umbrella Inside IR35We are currently recruiting for an experienced Building Control Surveyor to join a busy Building Control team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing building plans, carrying out site inspections and ensuring construction work complies with the Building Regulations and associated legislation.The RoleYou will be responsible for:Examining deposited building plans to ensure proposed works comply with relevant Building Regulations and legislation.Carrying out regular site inspections to assess construction work and identify any non-compliance.Dealing with dangerous structures and demolition sites, including inspections, reporting and appropriate action.Undertaking enforcement procedures where building work does not meet legal requirements.Providing advice and guidance to architects, engineers, contractors, building owners and members of the public.Working with external agencies including Fire Services and other construction and regulatory professionals.Producing clear inspection reports, letters and maintaining accurate records.Supporting requirements relating to fire safety, means of escape, accessibility, energy efficiency and public safety.About YouWe are looking for a qualified and experienced Building Control professional with:At least 2 years'' experience as a Building Control Surveyor within an accredited ..... full job details .....
