Building and Fire Safety Manager

Belmont Recruitment are currently looking for a Building and Fire Safety Manager to join Cheshire West and Chester Council on an initial 6-month temporary contract. This is a full-time role working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Key Responsibilities Line management of a small number of frontline staff Contract management and procurement of contractors undertaking Fire Risk Assessments (FRAs) Oversight and reporting of FRA actions and progress against completion targets. Management of building safety regulatory requirements relating to three high-rise residential tower blocks. Oversight and assurance of fire safety works being completed at the tower blocks. Direct engagement with the Building Safety Regulator as required. Direct engagement with Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service as required. Management of ad hoc enquiries and complaints relating to building and fire safety. Essential Requirements Demonstrable experience in both Building Safety and Fire Safety, including a strong understanding of requirements arising from the Building Safety Act 2022.
