BSL Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate British Sign Language (BSL) Teaching Assistant to join a supportive educational setting in Scunthorpe. This is a rewarding opportunity to support students with hearing impairments, helping them access learning and reach their full potential in an inclusive environment. This role is to start as soon as possible, and will last until July in the first instance. Payment for this role will be between £100 and £125 per day, depending on experience and qualificationsKey Responsibilities:Provide 1:1 and small group support to students using BSLAssist in the delivery of lessons, ensuring accessibility for deaf or hearing-impaired learnersWork closely with teachers, SEN staff, and external professionals to support individual learning plansFoster a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environmentSupport students'' social, emotional, and academic developmentRequirements:BSL qualification (ideally Level 3, but candidates with any level will be considered)Experience working in an educational or SEN setting is desirable but not essentialStrong communication and interpersonal skillsA patient, empathetic, and proactive approachCommitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of childrenHave experience working within schools in the UKEnhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checksCV must cover the full CV HistoryLegal right to work in the UKThe call to actionIf you''re an experienced ..... full job details .....
