Job Title: BSL Teaching Assistant
Location: Harrow, North West London

Contract Type: Full-Time, Long-Term
Salary: -100 - -120 per day (PAYE, DOE)

Tradewind Recruitment are currently recruiting for a British Sign Language (BSL) Teaching Assistant to support pupils in a Primary School in Harrow from September 2025.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced BSL practitioner to make a real difference to the education and development of pupils with hearing impairments and additional needs. The school is a welcoming and inclusive environment, with a strong commitment to ensuring all pupils can access learning and thrive both academically and socially.

The Role:

• Providing 1:1 and small group support to pupils with hearing impairments and additional needs

• Using BSL to support communication and understanding in lessons

• Assisting the class teacher in delivering adapted learning strategies

• Encouraging confidence, social skills and independence

• Supporting the wider inclusion of pupils across the school community

What We''re Looking For:

• BSL qualification (minimum Level 2)

• Previous experience supporting children or young people with hearing impairments

• Patience, empathy and strong communication skills

• A proactive and enthusiastic approach to supporting learning

• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
