Key Responsibilities:

Provide communication support using British Sign Language (BSL) for Deaf or hearing-impaired service users.

Assist service users with daily living activities including personal care, meal preparation, and mobility where required.

Support individuals to access community services, appointments, education, or employment opportunities.

Facilitate clear communication between service users, staff, healthcare professionals, and family members.

Encourage independence, confidence, and social participation.

Maintain accurate records and reports in line with organisational policies.
Skills and Qualifications

British Sign Language (BSL) Level 2 or Level 3 qualification (essential).

Previous experience working with Deaf or hearing-impaired individuals preferred.

Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Understanding of confidentiality and safeguarding practices.
Requirements:

Experience in healthcare, supported living, or social care settings.
-
Knowledge of Deaf culture and community.
-
First Aid training.
-
Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain).
