Are you a skilled and detail-oriented professional with a knack for sourcing and negotiating care packages? The London Borough of Lambeth is looking for a Brokerage Support Officer to join our team and help us provide timely, high-quality care for our most vulnerable residents.

The Role

As a Brokerage Support Officer, you will be crucial in ensuring that service users with complex needs receive the right care packages. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Sourcing and Negotiating: Sourcing, negotiating, and brokering all care placements, including extra care and domiciliary care packages. You''ll work with and outside of established frameworks to find the best solutions for service users with complex needs.
• Quality Assurance: Assisting with the quality assurance and monitoring of all direct payments to ensure funds are used appropriately and in compliance with regulations.
• Referral Management: Managing daily referrals for care packages, ensuring they are placed in a timely manner while adhering to best value principles.
• Supervision: Undertaking the line management and supervision of staff to ensure a cohesive and effective team.

About You

We are looking for a highly organised individual with excellent communication and negotiation skills. You should have a proven track record in a similar role, ideally within a social care or local government setting. You must be committed to ensuring the best outcomes for service users and be able to work effectively within a fast-paced environment.
