Job title: Break Fix Engineer - Laptop Hardware RepairDay rate: £200 per day - Outside IR35/Limited CompanyLocation: Cannock, StaffordshireStart date: ASAPStandard hours: Monday to Friday 9am-5pmOverview We are seeking experienced Break/Fix Engineers to support a laptop refurbishment project. This role involves diagnosing hardware faults, disassembling laptops, replacing components, and ensuring devices are returned to full working order. Key Responsibilities Disassemble and reassemble laptops safely and efficiently Replace faulty keyboards, SSDs/HDDs, batteries, and other components Diagnose basic hardware faults Perform functional testing following repairs Maintain accurate repair and asset records Follow ESD and health andamp; safety procedures Essential Skills Previous experience in laptop repair, refurbishment, or break/fix engineering Confident working with a range of laptop manufacturers Experience replacing keyboards, storage drives, batteries, and other internal components Good attention to detail and ability to work to productivity targets Strong understanding of hardware handling and ESD practices Desirable Skills Experience with enterprise laptop fleets (Dell, HP, Lenovo) Asset management or imaging experience IT hardware certification(s) ..... full job details .....
