You''ll serve trade customers at the counter and on the phone, make up hydraulic hose assemblies, and keep stock and paperwork in order. Our customers include plant hire firms, agricultural contractors, manufacturers and maintenance engineers. When their machines are down, they need the right part fast. You''ll be the person who gets it to them. No hydraulics experience? That''s fine. If you''ve worked on a trade counter or in industrial supplies, we''ll give you full product and hose assembly training. Key responsibilities: Customer service and sales Serve trade and walk-in customers at the counter, identifying parts and recommending the right product Handle phone and email enquiries, quotes and orders Process sales, returns and payments accurately on our [ERP / stock system] Build good relationships with regular account customers Hose assembly and workshop Make up hydraulic hose assemblies to customer specification using crimping and cutting equipment Identify hose, fittings and adaptors by thread type and size (BSP, JIC, metric, ORFS) Pressure test assemblies ...
