We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Brain Injury Support Worker to join an established rehabilitation team supporting a gentleman living independently in his own home following a brain injury. This is a unique opportunity to support someone in achieving their personal goals, maintaining an active lifestyle, and remaining engaged in the community.

Unlike traditional domiciliary care roles, this position allows you to work as part of a consistent team supporting one individual, enabling you to see the positive impact of your support over time. You will work closely with an experienced Clinical Case Manager and Team Leader, gaining valuable experience in brain injury rehabilitation and person-centred support.

About the Client

Our client is a friendly and sociable gentleman in his 50s who lives independently in Tunbridge Wells. He enjoys spending time with family and friends, meeting new people, listening to music, watching films, learning interesting facts, and enjoying nature and wildlife. He also enjoys walks, dining out, holidays, and participating in community activities.

He has a great sense of humour and enjoys engaging conversations. Although his speech can initially be difficult to understand, you will receive guidance and training to develop effective communication strategies and build a strong working relationship.

About the Role

As a Brain Injury Support Worker, you will provide person-centred support both at home and in the community, helping the client live as independently as possible while promoting choice, dignity, and confidence.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting daily living routines whilst promoting independence and self-confidence.
• Encouraging participation in community activities, hobbies, and social opportunities.
• Supporting attendance at appointments and community outings.
• Promoting emotional wellbeing and helping the client manage challenges positively.
• Supporting decision-making and ensuring the client''s wishes and preferences are heard.
• Advocating for the client''s physical and mental wellbeing.
• Maintaining accurate records and communicating effectively with the Clinical Case Manager, Team Leader and wider team.
• Contributing to a safe, consistent and positive support environment.
