Bookkeeper

We are supporting one of Surrey''s leading independent firms of accountants that are now looking for a bookkeeper with strong Xero experience to join their team in a client facing role that will assist with general bookkeeping and VAT plus will support with systems implementations / migrations. As a very unique new role, this position offers a bookkeeper an excellent opportunity to support a range of clients with traditional support, whilst also providing training and assistance on modern accounting systems / software. Key Responsibilities of this Bookkeeper role include;Perform and review a mix of bookkeeping tasks and the preparation of VAT returns in support of a range of clients. Act as the main point of contact for your clients, answering queries and resolving issues where necessary.Provide training and assistance to clients on the use of modern accounting software, mainly Xero.Play an active part in the transition or migration of client information onto Xero. Support colleagues with queries relating to client bookkeeping and modern accounting software. YouIdeally AAT Qualified, although individuals with strong experience will be considered.
